The Peace Park Resident Advisory Group is meant to be a group of College Hill residents, or those with a strong connection to the neighborhood or park, who advise on the continued development of Peace Park and are involved in activating it as a neighborhood gathering space. This could look like using meeting time to advise on design of future park features, contributing to any historical or artistic elements of the park, helping to plan fun park activities, or weighing in on park use guidelines. The Peace Park Advisory Group will build on the foundation of work already done by neighborhood residents: the College Hill Neighborhood Solutions group that kicked off the idea of revitalizing Peace Park, the residents who guided park design through workshops and surveys, and those who sat on the Peace Park Advisory Committee as it started to become a reality.
The PPAG will meet on average 4 times each year (time and location to be determined by group). A meal will be provided, and a gift card will be offered as compensation for member's time. There will be opportunities for PPAG members to participate in additional events, but those are not required. The PPAG will have a vital role in shaping further development of the park alongside guidance from other Peace Park Partners.
To apply to be a member of the Peace Park Advisory Group please fill out the application below. Applications will be held open until March 31, 2025. The first PPAG meeting will be held in late April/early May. Anyone who applies will receive a follow up email with next steps, but not all who apply will be selected.
